One card across 12 Ontario destinations

Great Canadian Rewards is the player card of Great Canadian Entertainment in Ontario. One membership covers all 12 of its Ontario destinations. Two of them matter for this guide: Shorelines Casino Peterborough on Fisher Drive and Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs in Fraserville.

What a member earns at any of the 12 is pooled. It can then be used at all 12, so a balance recorded at Fisher Drive is not tied to Fisher Drive.

Who can hold a card, and how to enrol

Members must be 19 or older. People who are self-excluded or trespassed are not eligible. Membership itself costs nothing. A person can enrol through the operator's online form. Guest Services at any Great Canadian Rewards destination in Ontario also enrols members in person, Shorelines Casino Peterborough among them.

Getting in follows a separate rule. Under the operator's code of conduct ("We ID under 30"), a guest who appears under 30 must present a government-issued photo ID that is original and physical. A second ID may be requested by staff. Ontario law bars anyone under 19 from a casino. Bring the photo ID every visit, with or without a card.

What the card does during a visit

At a slot machine, the member inserts the card. The operator does not publish how the card works at the live tables of Shorelines Casino Peterborough. Ask at Guest Services before sitting down at a table, so the answer comes from the casino itself.

For Ontario, the operator publishes no earning rate, no point value and no tier rules. We checked for all three and found none. Without those figures, the card is a record of play, not a target to reach. Great Canadian Rewards also has a mobile app from the operator.

Where Comp Dollars go

The card's Comp Dollars cover food at three spots. At Shorelines Casino Peterborough, they are accepted at The Buffet and at the restaurant and bar, which has no published name. The third is the Player's Lounge & Café on the Kawartha Downs slots floor, a 19+ spot operated by Kawartha Downs rather than the casino operator.

Members also get discounts at The Buffet, in amounts the casino does not publish. The casino lists no prices for either place on Fisher Drive.

Where card questions go

Card questions in Ontario go to the operator's rewards support address, support@greatcanadian.com. General questions go to information@greatcanadian.com instead. On a visit, ask at Guest Services at Shorelines Casino Peterborough, where members can also enrol in person. That desk is also where to ask how the card works at the live tables. The casino's line is 1-833-678-0880.

Questions we get asked

Is there a fee for a Great Canadian Rewards membership?

There is no charge for membership. A person can enrol through the operator's online form or at Guest Services at any Ontario destination.

Can someone under 19 get a card?

Members must be 19 or older, so a younger person cannot enrol. The same age limit applies at the casino door under Ontario law.

Is one card enough for Fisher Drive and Fraserville?

Yes, one membership covers both, among the operator's 12 Ontario destinations. What a member earns at either is pooled for use at all 12.

How much does play on the card earn?

That figure is not published. The operator gives no earning rates, point values or tier rules for Ontario.
